PURACHEM SRB20 is suitable for use in various systems, including; Process Cooling, HVAC, Geothermal and Air Source Heat Recovery.

PURACHEM SRB20 can be used as a post-commission biocide to proactively prevent any bacteria or algae growth in the system.

PURACHEM SRB20 can be used as a pre- commission biocide in systems that maybe ‘laid-up’ for some period prior to commissioning.



PURACHEM SRB20 can be supplied in concentrate and in dilute form. The standard concentration requires 5 litres per 2,000 litres of system volume. At this strength lightly contaminated systems can be neutralised in a single stage.

Post-Commissioning;

1. Take a fluid sample before dosing to confirm the level of any existing biological activity.
2. Add PURACHEM SRB20 at a ratio of 5 litres per 2,000 litres of system volume. To ensure effective mixing with the existing system fluid, dose PURACHEM SRB20 using a proportional dosing pump.
3. Take a fluid sample three days after dosing to confirm all biological activity has been neutralised.

Pre-Commissioning;

1. Take a fluid sample before dosing to confirm the level of any existing biological activity.
2. Add PURACHEM SRB20 at a ratio of 5 litres per 2,000 litres of system volume. To ensure effective mixing with the existing system fluid, dose PURACHEM SRB20 using a proportional dosing pump.
3. Vent the system of any trapped air.
4. Recirculate for a minimum of two hours and leave to ‘stand’ for a minimum of 3 days.
5. Drain all fluids before refilling with the required concentration of inhibited heat transfer fluid and good quality water.
6. Take a sample three days after commissioning to confirm all biological activity has been neutralised.
